Description |
The object is a black circular tire with a piece cut out from the upper right side of the front. The tire is made of rubber on the outside and has a metal wheel on the inside. The tire's surface features multiple inscriptions on both the front and back. Going clockwise, the front inscriptions read: "TRAC-GARD C/T. N766. RIM. 3:50. OLD. 13x5.00-6 NHS. NOT FOR HIGHWAY SERVICE. P332-02." The back inscriptions read: "13 x 500-6 NHS. NOT FOR HIGHWAY SERVICE. P332-02. 4 PLY RATING TUBELESS NYLON. MAX. LOAD 440 LBS 200 KGS AT 40 P.S.I. 2.8 BAR COLD. TRAC-GARD C/T. 20 08." The back of the tire also has a series of rhombuses with diagonal lines inside them at the upper left corner. Along the edges of the back, there is a repeating symbol resembling a triangle followed by the letters "T.WL." The tire's treads are visible at the top, left, right, and bottom of the tire. Inside the open portion of the tire, a silver rectangular-shaped metal bar is visible, engraved with the inscription, "VF120-G114." The metal wheel's front is a circle with an upper and lower level, with a large hole in the center. The upper level has 12 small holes on top and 18 screws on the bottom. It is inscribed with the warning: "WARNING: DEFLATE TIRE BEFORE DISSASSEMBLY. HUTCHINSON USA." The lower level has 10 medium-sized holes around its perimeter, as well as a large silver circular metal piece protruding from the right side and a thin metal screw on the left. The lower level also carries the inscriptions: "HUTCHINSON USA. PATENTED. MAX 14540 LB. 110 P.S.I. WARNING: DEFLATE TIRE BEFORE DISSASSEMBLY." The back of the metal wheel is a simple hole. According to Hutchinson Industries' website, the company is a defense, security, heavy equipment, aerospace, and transportation firm based in Trenton, New Jersey. Originally founded in 1855 in Châlette-sur-Loin, France, by Hiram Hutchinson, the company initially made shoes before pivoting to tire production for bicycles and automobiles. Hutchinson Industries incorporated in Delaware in 1988 and leased a building in Trenton. The company's product lineup includes Lightweight Aluminum Wheels, Runflats, Beadlocks, Wheel Covers, Safetank Self-Sealing Fuel Tanks, Aerospace Machined Parts, and more.
