This silver, circular-shaped serving tray features the Seal of the City of Trenton engraved at the center. The tray's rim is elevated, with an embossed wavy design running around the edges. The main portion of the tray is adorned with an intricate floral pattern, consisting of leaves, flowers, and curving lines. The city's seal is circular, with an inscription along the edge that reads, "SEAL OF THE CITY OF TRENTON 1792." In the center of the seal, a horse's head is displayed above a shield featuring three wheat sheaves. On either side of the shield, three plus signs are visible. The back of the tray has an indented rim with an embossed wavy design that mirrors the one on the front. The rest of the back is plain. According to the seller, this serving tray originally belonged to John Treptow, a police officer in Trenton. It was presented to him during his retirement ceremony in 1970. |
