Description |
The sign is a grey, rectangular-shaped metal with two holes on opposite sides, one on the right and one on the left. The front of the sign features an embossed inscription that reads, "LOUIS H. LINOWITZ AND COMPANY. CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS." According to Marc Linowitz, Louis H. Linowitz was a certified public accountant who lived in Trenton, New Jersey. Born in 1920, he grew up on Wayne Avenue in Trenton and graduated from Trenton High School in 1937. In the 1950s, he worked at Broad Street Bank, where he met George Warren. In 1957, Linowitz purchased a building at 219 East Hanover and opened his own accounting firm, Louis H. Linowitz and Associates. The architect who designed the building also designed the New Jersey State House. |
