Title |
Tall Cedars of Lebanon Officer's Hat |
Description |
The hat is black and cylindrical, resembling a police officer's cap. The front of the hat features a half-circle plastic visor that points downward. Above the visor is the main portion of the hat, made of polyester, which is divided into two levels. Around the bottom portion of the hat, there is an orange rope arranged in an oval shape. The rope is tied in knots at the center-left and center-right sides of the hat. The rope is attached to the hat with two gold metal buttons, one on each side, which feature an embossed image of a cedar tree. Each button also has a green engraved inscription that reads, "T.C.OF.L.". Above the rope is an embroidered orange inscription that reads, "TRENTON." The lower portion of the hat has orange lines along its top and bottom edges. The upper portion of the hat is significantly wider than the lower portion. On the upper portion, there is an embroidered green cedar tree with an orange outline, encircled by an orange ring. Around the top of the hat is an orange rim, and the top of the hat itself is flat. The bottom of the hat is open and reveals the inside. The inside rim is lined with a brown leather strip, and there is a ribbon on top. On the left side inside the hat, there is an upside-down white inscription that reads, "FASHIONED BY SENTRY," next to a white image of a soldier. On the bottom of the inside, there is a diamond-shaped piece of plastic. In the center of this plastic piece is an image of a white bird, with the inscription "Hamilton Uniforms. TRENTON, N.J." beneath it. The piece of plastic also holds two yellow stickers with black inscriptions: a circular sticker that reads, "7 1/4," and a rectangular sticker that reads, "883832." Beneath the rectangular sticker's inscription is an image of a globe with surrounding words that are too small to make out. Both the circular and rectangular stickers are upside down.
